qq What is the Canadian Working Holiday Program?

qqqAnswer: the Canadian Working Holiday Program allows young Japanese people between the ages of 18 to 30 years, to go to Canada for up to 1 year and to work part-time there. In addition, young Japanese people can study and travel throughout Canada during their 1 year period of stay.  

Are YOU eligible for the Canadian Working Holiday Program?

YOU are if :

You are a Japanese citizen.
Are between the ages of 18 to 30 years of age.
(must be exactly or under the age of 30yrs at the time you participate in this program).
Intend to go to Canada primarily to holiday/vacation in Canada for up to 1 year.
Have not previously participated in the program.
Have a valid Japanese Passport.
Have a return airplane ticket or sufficient funds.
Are in good health & no previous legal problems.
Do not have a pre-arranged job in Canada.

The Working Holiday Program enables Japanese young people to develop their English speaking skills with the purpose of going to and finding employment while in Canada on a Working Holiday Visa.

Service #1

A in J FORTUNE will provide the young Japanese person with all the required documents/paperwork that must be (a) filled out and then (b) submitted to the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan. If and/or when the Canadian Embassy approves all the documents/paperwork, then the young Japanese person will be issued a working holiday visa stamped into their passport. A in J FORTUNE will:

Help the young Japanese person with gfilling outh all documents.

Provide help as to gwhen, how, where, etch to submit/send all documents.

Provide after service gfollow-uph between the young Japanese person and the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo.

Provide any translation help(written or spoken) if needed.

NOTE: once a working holiday visa has be issued to the young Japanese person, he or she may then travel to Canada and work there for up to 1 year.

The number of working holiday visas issued by the Canadian Government (The Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, Japan) varies from year to year. The working holiday program (WHP), opens the process for application on/after January 2nd, 2008. Visas are issued until the quota has been reached which is usually in May. Young Japanese people are encouraged to start application for their working holiday visas as early as possible (January-April 2008 highly recommended).

Service #2

After the young Japanese person has received their working holiday visa and has decided their date of departure from Japan, A in J FORTUNE will provide an initial 3 month homestay placement for the young Japanese person. The 3 month homestay placement begins on the first day(1st day) of arrival in Canada. The homestay concludes 3 months later . The A in J FORTUNE 3 month homestay placement service is usually in the Canadian cities of: Vancouver or Toronto. However, homestay placements can be arranged in Banff, Calgary and Montreal as well. (note: airport pick-up service is also provided to the young Japanese person upon first day arrival in Canada. Then the person is taken to their homestay family home). 

Service #3

A in J FORTUNE will provide advice/counselling in selecting a reputable English Language School/College if the young Japanese person would like to enroll into an English Second Language (E.S.L.) short-term study program. A in J FORTUNE will assist the young Japanese person with all application and enrollment procedures. A in J FORTUNE is the Sapporo, Japan, representative of a very reputable language school in Canada: Omnicom School of Languages. A in J FORTUNE assists the young Japanese person with enrollment into an E.S.L. school usually for short-term English study programs (several weeks to several months). The young Japanese person can study English usually during the A.M. hours and then work part-time or travel the rest of the day while in Canada.
